On my return from Stockholm, I use terminal 5, the only one open at the airport. In fact, the lounge usually used by Air France and KLM is closed and I have to fall back on the other options.
Two lounges remain open, including the American Express lounge I use.
A non-co-branded American Express Platinum or Centurion Card is required for access (with 1 or 2 guests respectively).
Itinerary reminder :
Location
The lounge is located on the right just after the Duty Free area, on a mezzanine accessible either by a light elevator or by stairs.
The space is shared with a restaurant that also operates the Amex lounge.
The eligibility check is carried out by one of the waiters, who invites me to take a seat at one of the available tables.
Lounge design
The design of the lounge is that of a restaurant, so nothing out of the ordinary except that the furniture is rather elegant.
Located on the mezzanine, the lounge overlooks the terminal and offers views of the tarmac.
Catering
There’s no buffet here (and it’s not related to COVID-19), so you have to order à la carte. You can order as much or as little as you like, with no limits.
So I order a glass of red wine (excellent) and sparkling water to drink.
The service is absolutely perfect, and the waiters are very attentive.
I also order spicy sausages with exceptional gravy and superb mashed potatoes.
I swallow a few mouthfuls as my flight begins boarding a few minutes later.
Bottom line
An excellent lounge to which I’d be happy to return with a little more time to spend.
