Here begins this itinerary to Newark, with a stop at the Chase Sapphire Reserve lounge, which I absolutely love at Boston Logan.
Check-in and ground experience
I checked in for my flight to Newark a little under 24 hours before departure through the United app. I then retrieved my boarding pass in both Passbook and PDF formats, this time displaying, for the first time, the TSA Pre logo, which allowed me to clear security with ease.
On the day of departure, I arrived at the airport a little over two hours before my flight, taking the Silver Line on the MBTA from my home.
As I had already checked in online, I went straight to security and was airside within just a few minutes.
Location and Welcome
The lounge is located at the very end of Concourse B, close to Concourse C.
It is on a mezzanine level and can be accessed by elevator. The welcome was very good and, after my Priority Pass card was scanned, I was invited to enter.
Design
The design of the lounge is highly successful, with elegant and modern tones reminiscent of a luxury hotel lobby. There are several lounging and dining areas available, as well as a long bar with stools.
Food & Beverage Offering
The food offering is of excellent quality, with a superb hot and cold buffet, complemented by an à la carte menu that can be accessed via a QR code scanned from one’s table.
I ordered scrambled eggs with salmon on toast.
Bottom line
A very pleasant stay for a short wait before my flight.
