This was the final segment of this business trip to the capital of Illinois, with the return flight back to Boston.
Boarding
I left the lounge less than ten minutes before boarding for my flight to Boston and reached the gate just moments before it began.
As is always the case in the United States, everything was calm and orderly, and I was the first passenger on board, boarding in Group 1, with no PRM passengers or ConciergeKey members on this flight.
Cabin and welcome
I entered the Domestic First cabin on this flight to Boston after receiving a warm welcome from the crew.
This cabin was arranged in the usual 2-2 configuration over four rows, with the airline’s standard seats. I settled comfortably into seat 2A.
The flight attendant came by to offer a full bar service, and I chose a glass of red wine, which was excellent.
Boarding was completed ahead of schedule, and we pushed back a few minutes early.
Service and catering
The service began once the seatbelt sign was switched off.
The flight attendant came through the cabin to take orders from all passengers, and I opted for another glass of red wine, which was promptly served.
Several refills of drinks and snacks were offered throughout the flight, and I finished the journey with a Baileys on the rocks.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrived at the gate 30 minutes ahead of schedule, and disembarkation was very smooth.
Bottom line
A very pleasant flight with flawless service.
