Air France Business, Paris Charles-de-Gaulle – London Heathrow, Airbus A320 : The bullshit continues!

Today’s itinerary

Boarding

I leave the lounge as boarding has already begun.

The gate, as usual, is located on the left of terminal K. The queue for boarding is already long, but I cut it via SkyPriority.

A security agent checks that I have the necessary documents for English immigration, and then I head for the gate.

With the jetway so crowded, I have time to take a few photos of our neighbor.

I’ll wait in the jetway, as the crew aren’t quite ready to start the boarding yet.

Final departure formalities are completed, including finalizing baggage loading.

Cabin and welcome

The welcome is rather plain, and I settle into the cabin.

The pitch is correct in the first row, without being exceptional

No special setting, no cushions or blankets. No welcome drink either.

Amazon Prime Air that begins mass deployment in continental Europe is taxiing.
And we line up right after

A beautiful view of CDG on takeoff

Wifi is available on board, but… at a price that’s totally unbelievable for such a short flight!

The price of WiFi, 2 times more expensive than on Heraklion for a flight time 4 times shorter, i.e. a price per minute of flight 8x higher. Oh well…

Service and catering

As is traditional on this route, there will be no catering to London, not even a glass of water. We are still wondering why British destinations are being sacrificed by the French airline. I have since stopped flying Air France for this simple reason.

Arrival and disembarkation

Approaching the English coast

Magnificent views of central London

… And on London City Airport

Most of London’s landmarks in the same photo: Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace in the distance

The arrival will take place in contact with the terminal at Heathrow, but we will arrive a little late, which will impose a very long queue at immigration, as I will spend almost 1h30 before being able to pass these controls.

Bottom line

A flight without a fuss, but without service either.
