Hotel Bristol Warsaw : a sure value

A weekend in Poland was an opportunity to stay at the Bristol Warsaw.

The Bristol Warsaw: ideally located in the old town

The Bristol Warsaw is a historic hotel in the city as are many Luxury Collection hotels such as the Prince de Galles in Paris, the Grande Bretagne in Athens or the Gritti in Venice.

It is thus in front of a splendid building art nouveau that the cab drops me off.

There is no queue when I check in. Having used the “mobile check-in” of the SPG application the formalities are reduced to a minimum.

The loyalty program protocol in terms of customer recognition is followed to the letter….even too much. The agent keeps thanking me and telling me about the benefits I am entitled to and all the things the hotel can do for me…difficult to find the right balance between a quick greeting that can frustrate the ego of the loyal customer and “too much” that makes him feel like he is wasting his time.

My standard room will be upgraded to a “Bristol Executive Room”.

The Bristol Executive Room is a mini-suite

I walk through the beautiful lobby to get to the elevator.

The room opens onto a small hallway that leads to the bedroom, the bathroom and, oh surprise, a small lounge. In fact, the Bristol Executive Room is more like a mini-suite than a room.

The room is a very good size.

The decoration is very tasteful. And the bedding is very comfortable, that goes without saying.

The lounge is smaller. More of a TV room than a real lounge.

The bathroom is of good size and again decorated without fault of taste. We may regret that the shower and bathtub are not separated…

A delicate and succulent attention of the hotel was also waiting for me on the table.

And to finish the visit in video.

An excellent level of catering at the Bristol Warsaw

The Bristol Warsaw has several bars/restaurants including the renowned Bristol Café, a wine bar (I won’t try either of them) and a more upscale bar and restaurant, which will be my favorite.

Let’s start with the Column Bar.

The place is rather majestic.

Excellent service. Very good creations and the classics are very well executed.

I will have dinner two nights in a row at the “Marconi” restaurant. For the first evening I will opt for the tasting menu, for the second a more conventional dinner.

The menu is appetizing.

The staff is very friendly and the dishes arrive quickly (fortunately for the few customers present).

The result on the plate is appetizing.

It is frankly delicious and at a very affordable price.

A beautiful indoor pool

For once I will not be going to the gym but only to the pool.

Although located in the basement it is very pleasant. We feel good and if we would have liked a little warmer water, the temperature will not put off people sensitive to cold.

Deckchairs and armchairs are available for resting.

Next to it is another room also equipped with deckchairs and with a sauna and a hammam.

It’s beautiful, it’s clean, you’d almost think it was new. Nothing to complain about.

Check out

The check-out will go almost without problem with, however, a small bug. Dès mon arrivée je disposais d’un “late check out” à 16h00 et malgré cela la clé de ma chambre n’était encodée que jusqu’à midi. The check-out will go almost without problem with, however, a small bug. When I got to my room I couldn’t open it and had to go back down to the reception to get my key updated. I regret the absence of mobile check-out.

Nothing serious but quite annoying in a property of this standing.

At 110 euros per night…a remarkable experience.
