Here I am back on the road in the United States for a professional training course funded by my employer, this time in San Antonio.
On the way back, I will also take the opportunity to have dinner with one of my consultants based in Austin, another Texan city, which is why my return journey will be from that airport.
Transportation
As for the flights, I booked as usual on the American Airlines website in Domestic First. Initially, I planned a standard round trip to San Antonio, before changing that round trip into an open-jaw itinerary by switching the return city to Austin, as mentioned in the introduction.
In the end, I also changed the timing of my return flight to something more reasonable so as to avoid having to wake up at dawn.
Accomodation
For accommodation, I chose a Tribute Portfolio property, Marriott’s brand for character hotels, for my stay in San Antonio, followed by the W Austin for my final night in Texas.
