Nomicos: Still as successful as ever

As part of a professional dinner, I booked at Jean-Louis Nomicos , not far from my hotel.

Today’s itinerary

The concept

The concept is quite simple: gourmet cuisine , inspired by Mediterranean flavors . All excellently executed but without fuss.

The framework

The setting is simple but elegant , the room with around thirty seats.

The menu

The menu is quite short, with three starters, three main courses and three desserts. Tasting formulas are also available from €65 for lunch and €85 for dinner.

The meal and the dishes

We opted for a 6-course tasting menu on this evening.

Royale of onions, puffed rice : very well balanced, a delight

Perfect egg, cream of mushroom soup: the egg was to my taste, blue, and the combination of cream of mushroom soup and raw carpaccio was perfect

IMG_7064

Blue lobster from Brittany : nice balance, even if the lobster sauce was a bit oxidized

IMG_7065

Truffle macaroni : chef Nomicos’ signature dish, excellent in every way, perfect balance between the sweetness of the cheese and the full-bodied jus

IMG_7066

Quail roasted in two ways : Excellently cooked, and the foie gras filling was perfect

IMG_7067

Chocolate : the ice cream was perfect, and the sweetness-bitterness balance was there

IMG_7068

Absinthe granita, celery ice cream, candied tomatoes : strange combination on paper but absolutely perfect in the mouth as a post-dessert, ultra refreshing

Sweetness: Tarte tropézienne : A killer, I absolutely finished everything thanks to this very beautiful combination generously sprinkled with orange blossom water

The service

The service was totally to my liking , perfect and very relaxed at the same time.

The atmosphere

Quite cozy

Conclusion

A great second experience at this restaurant… To soon make it my canteen?
