After spending some time in Caen, it’s time to get into the air, with this first flight from Caen to Lyon. As I said in the previous postponement, I had to go via Caen for family reasons, and in my case found myself having changed my Paris-London return ticket for a Caen-Lyon-Paris-London for the modest sum of around €120.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Arrival at the airport and check-in
To get to Caen-Carpiquet airport, I use the Twisto bus, which is direct from the city center. When I arrived at the airport, the area around it was absolutely packed with people, as it was Friday and many people from Caen were leaving on vacation or for the weekend. I make my way through them to the check-in counter.
I wait a minute for the previous passenger to finish checking-in, and then the attendant takes care of me. She checks me in to London, gives me my boarding passes, and verifies all the necessary documents and immigration papers for the UK.
Boarding
Security formalities were completed in just a few minutes, and I was quickly airside. After buying a few things at the snack bar in the departure lounge, boarding for Lyon is called and I use the SkyPriority line.
Before accessing the aircraft, all passengers wait in front of the terminal after passing through the security gates until our aircraft is ready.
Cabin and welcome
The welcome on board is very cold, but I don’t have far to go for my seat since I’m in 01A. On domestic flights in France, apart from departures from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, business class is no longer offered.
One person will therefore take the seat adjacent to mine.
Service and catering
A simple service of hot and cold drinks would be provided just after the climb. I’ll spend most of the flight working.
It’s worth noting that the steward serving at the front of the plane exuded a strong odor of alcohol, which is rather strange for a crew on duty. That’s all I’ll say.
Arrival and disembarkation
Since our departure was delayed by around 15 minutes, we arrived at the gate in Lyon just as late.
Surprisingly, we don’t disembark in the terminal reserved for regional flights, but in the main terminal. Access to the connection hall is easy: just follow the signs.
Bottom line
An uneventful flight, with no lounge either, and a crew providing barely minimum service.
