Code-sharing between Air France, Virgin Atlantic, Delta and KLM: finally!

All good things come to those who wait, and in this case, it didn’t take long after the competition authorities gave their approval for Air France-KLM to take a stake in Virgin Atlantic for the codeshare to be announced.

The Codeshare between Air France, Delta and KLM is nothing new, the interest of the announcement is that the customers of these airlines will be able to fly on Virgin Atlantic under the flight number of their “parent” airline and thus accumulate miles on their own loyalty program. And vice versa for the customers of the British airline.

As we announced here, this is the first step before the arrival of Virgin Atlantic in the joint venture that brings together the other three airlines and Alitalia, which is not part of the deal. Perhaps while waiting to know its future?

The last step could logically be the entry of Virgin Atlantic in Skyteam.
