A new St Regis will soon open its doors in Dubai with an infinity pool that may even exceed some records.

We praised the St Regis Al Habtoor in Dubai. It closed last summer as well as the W and the Westin located in the same complex to change colors and be now operated by Hilton on the background of disagreement between the owners and the brands concerned.

Don’t panic: a new W and a new St Regis will open in Dubai in 2019. In theory the W in March and the St Regis later in the year. Both will be located on The Palm.

Today we will focus on the St Regis. Until now, and unless we are mistaken, the world’s highest infinity pool was held by theMarina Bay Sands in Singapore and its impressive 160m long pool perched 200m high.

If the new St Regis is not likely to beat the Marina Bay Sands on the length, it announces a pool located at 210m height, in theory a new record. But the brand communicates on “one of the highest in the world”, perhaps because of uncertainties regarding a building under construction.

It will be located on top of the “Palm Tower” which will host the hotel.

It will offer a unique 360° view on the Gulf, La Palme and the city.

Well, we don’t know much more for the moment…but we dream to try it.
