Korean Air has of course several lounges in its Seoul Incheon Hub and today I invite you to discover the one in the satellite of terminal 1.
Location of the lounge
Once the police and security formalities are completed, it is necessary to go down to take the internal automatic shuttle to join the satellite of T1 (it only concerns passengers departing from this part of the terminal), go back up to the boarding level, walk along the duty free stores, and go up one floor.
The satellite being all in length it’s a bit of a walk if your boarding gate is at the very end (which was my case) but really nothing insurmountable.
Who has access to it?
A lot of people as these signs show.
The lounge welcomes business and status passengers of Korean Air and Skyteam airlines, selected non-Skyteam partner airlines and Lounge Club and Priority Pass members.
Traveling in business class on China Eastern, this was the only lounge I had at my disposal.
Lounge layout
In the entrance we find a beautiful model of a 787 of the airline.
Then the lounge itself. It’s vast, uncluttered, bright, I really like it.
We have a huge area composed of armchairs and coffee tables.
More private areas.
And the buffet area:
Seen in photo it is beautiful and bright. In fact, whether you choose a chair, a stool or an armchair, it is not really comfortable or not at all depending on the chair.
The catering offer
The cold, salty or sweet offer is indigent, poorly presented, badly restocked and of no quality.
Not better for the hot offer which does not give more desire, even less.
Not especially beautiful….nor good!
As for the drinks, there are (fortunately) the traditional teas and coffees.
Draft beers and soda machine…
And two bottles of wine and whiskey left alone.
Toilets
There are of course toilets and showers.
A rare thing, the toilets are mixed!
In fact, each “cabin” has its own toilet and sink, so technically speaking people only meet in the corridor that leads to it.
For the shower, please ask for the key at the reception. Logical.
Finally, smokers will be happy to know that they have a dedicated space.
Bottom line
What to say? It’s beautiful and big. That’s all. Otherwise it’s hardly comfortable and the restaurant offer is outrageous.
Better to take out your wallet and buy a drink/meal elsewhere in the terminal.
