Tis the season to easily gain status on a loyalty program that competes with yours. After IHG, which is currently offering a status challenge (you have a limited time to complete a reduced number of nights and obtain a high status in the program), it’s Hilton’s turn to join in.
The principle
If you are a member of some of Hilton Honors’ competitor loyalty programs, simply sign up on this page.
You will need to provide evidence of your current status on a competing program.
At that time you will receive a Gold status on Hilton Honors.
If within 90 days of your registration you stay 7 nights in a Hilton hotel you will retain this status until March 2024.
If you stay at a Hilton hotel for 12 nights within 90 days of registration, you will receive a Diamond status through March 2024.
It normally takes 28 nights to get the Gold and 42 for the Diamond.
Note: you only need to be an American Express Platinum holder to automatically have a Gold Status with Hilton….
Who can register?
Unlike the IHG challenge, only members with a high status with competitors can register.
- Accor ALL: Gold, Platinum
- Best Western Rewards: Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Diamond Select
- Choice Privileges: Gold, Platinum, Diamond
- IHG One Rewards: Gold, Platinum, Diamond
- Marriott Bonvoy: Gold, Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador
- Radisson Rewards: Gold, Platinum
- World of Hyatt: Explorist, Globalist and Lifetime Globalist
Conclusion
Hilton sets up a nice challenge to poach competitors’ customers, allowing them to get Gold status for 3 months and keep it or upgrade it in a few nights.
