Review: Premier Lounge, Denpasar Airport

Before leaving Bali for Singapore I was able to spend a few hours in the airport’s Premier Lounge, a lounge that welcomes, among others, the business class passengers of Singapore Airlines with whom I was traveling.

Who has access to the Denpasar Premier Lounge?

It is a contract lounge, in other words a lounge that does not belong to an airline or alliance but welcomes passengers from certain airlines ( in return for payment by the airline of course) according to their class of travel or their status in the frequent flyer program, as well as holders of certain cards such as Priority Pass and finally passengers who are simply willing to pay for access.

As you can see here, the list of airlines using the Premier Lounge is long.

Where is the Denpasar Premier Lounge located?

It is located in the departure area of international flights, in the heart of the duty free area and therefore before the boarding gates. It is located on the first floor and offers a nice view on the hall.

Easy to get to after security checks, but getting to the gates can be a bit of a walk.

The layout of the Denpasar Premier Lounge

The lounge has a large main room that is quite colorful but ultimately quite pleasant in style.

Behind, a small space partially isolated and maybe more quiet.

And finally a balcony with a view of the terminal.

It’s not particularly big considering the number of airlines that use it but finally it wasn’t crowded when I came. Nothing really remarkable or spectacular, it is a nice little lounge rather pleasant.

Catering at the Premier Lounge in Denpasar

The buffet was topped with a “please do not photograph the food” sign, which I was quick to disregard. In this kind of situation you may think that the display must not be very attractive.

In fact, I have seen much worse in terms of buffet and especially for a contract lounge.

Of course you shouldn’t expect gastronomic heights but it was pretty good and the hot offer was much more consistent than in many lounges of this size.

On the drinks side, a large fridge with the basics in terms of soft drinks and a very limited alcoholic offer.

The essentials are there but there is still room for improvement.

The staff and service at the Premier Lounge in Denpasar

The staff is very present in the room to clear the tables as quickly as possible and restock the buffet.

A bit of disorganization at the entrance where passengers who only have to show their boarding pass to get in are mixed with those who buy their ticket, the former wasting a lot of time because of the latter without the staff having the idea of optimizing the waiting lines.

My opinion

Nothing phenomenal but no obvious flaws either. A good little lounge that does its job, without more but without a hitch.
