Review : Lufthansa Business Class, Paris – Munich

For a business trip to Berlin, I booked a round trip in Business on Lufthansa for less than 400€. A quick review for a consistent product

Check-in and ground experience

A little more than 24 hours before departure, I proceed to my check-in on the Lufthansa application. Proactively, the application offers me the check-in also for my return, which I obviously do.

I arrive at the airport very early so I can work before my flight. The boarding pass control is passed in a flash, as well as the security control which is totally deserted at this time of the day, and so I head for the Lufthansa lounges.

Senator lounge

After taking the elevator to the lounge, I am kindly welcomed by the flight attendant who asks me to scan my boarding pass and then invites me to sit on the Senator side (the Paris lounge is divided into a Business side and a Senator side).

The lounge is true to itself and I invite you to browse the ad hoc report to see what it looks like. The blind side is really penalizing, but the food and service are very good.

Almost 50 minutes before departure time, I receive a notification from the Lufthansa Chatbot telling me to start boarding. Strange, and mostly wrong when I look on the FIDS.

3 minutes before the theoretical start of boarding, I go to the gate.

Boarding

The boarding announcement is made as I exit the lounge elevator and immediately head for the boarding gate.

I would still be surprised by people waiting in front of the queue instead of in the queue, creating even more confusion in a terminal created at a time when Roissy did not receive so many passengers.

The boarding lines are empty… But why do passengers wait in front of the line and not inside?

The priority boarding is fast and perfectly respected, and I enter the plane.

Note that the crew has written a small note to the attention of the passengers who are boarding on the small yellow board near the door of the aircraft.

Not so difficult to make passengers feel welcome

Cabin and service

The cabin is the traditional Lufthansa medium-haul NEK, with grey tones. In Business, the middle seat is neutralized.

On the bulkhead, a Christmas wreath is installed, a second symbol of warmth.

The service starts as soon as we pass 10000 feet. The purser calls my name and distributes from the galley the trays to the passengers, then the hot (and excellent) bread.

The beverage service is then carried out by trolley. I will ask for a coffee and sparkling water.

The meal was excellent. Special mention to the Balik salmon and the exceptional Vitello Tonnato beef carpaccio.

An excellent quality meal

The rest of the flight will be smooth and a refill of drinks will be proactively offered.

Some chocolates are distributed with the coffee
Just before the descent to Munich

Arrival

The arrival in Munich will be on time. Connection gates that have changed are announced before the touchdown.

A landing in Munich in the fog…

Bottom line

Another very good flight on Lufthansa in Business, which proves once again its regularity on the medium-haul.
