After a visit to the Senator Lufthansa lounge in terminal 1 of Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, we boarded the plane for Zurich.
Boarding
A priority lane is available and is properly marked, and boarding is given priority over the economy lane.
At Terminal 1, the jetbridges are blind and do not allow you to see the aircraft upstream.
Cabin and reception
The Swiss cabin is rather elegant but rather bland in medium-haul, with grey leather seats. It is the NEK model from LH Group, so quite thin and with limited comfort. But the pitch is excellent.
The maître de cabine (the Swiss airline’s name for the chief purser) is friendly and welcomes passengers with a smile, then hands out small bottles of water.
Service and catering
The service begins shortly after the crew is released. On this morning flight, it is a breakfast service.
It’s good, it’s fresh and it’s quality. Obviously it is not at the level of the omelette served by British Airways, but it does the job and we went to the lounge before and will go there after.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrive in Zurich on time and at the contact, then take the connecting route to the non-Schengen part of the airport.
Bottom line
A solid contribution flight, without frills but with a great regularity in the execution.
