It is in a special context that Boeing presented its future B777-9X to its employees.
The 777-9X was supposed to fly its first hours this week, but that will come later. In the middle of the B737 MAX-8 “Gate”, the American aircraft manufacturer decided to keep a low profile and was content with a more intimate presentation to its employees.
To date, 315 B777Xs have been ordered and the two largest customers are Emirates and Qatar Airways. It should make its first commercial flight in 2020.
