A few months ago British Airways surprised its customers by offering them a Gospel choir during the flight.
A nice happening and a nice marketing move. Here is the making-off.
That the passengers liked it and were pleasantly surprised is one thing. That they consistently ask for more is another.
And yet this is the bet made by Garuda Indonesia, which will offer its customers a series of acoustic flight concerts on certain domestic flights.

The reason? To get people talking (a little) and to seduce the famous millenials who, according to the airline, demand “a different travel experience”.
Sure for a happening the idea is good, but on a more regular basis (even if not systematic) it could be very boring. Not to mention the inconvenience for other passengers who want more peace and quiet or who are not fans of Indonesian music (yes…there are tourists in Indonesia).
But, above all, at TravelGuys we are more than tired of the “millenials” marketing argument to do anything. Air France can explain.
In short, as much as we like surprises, as much as we are fans of Garuda Indonesia, here we are more than skeptical.
What about you? Are you up for an in-flight concert or is it the kind of thing that would put you off?
