Today’s itinerary

Boarding

We arrive at Geneva-Cornavin station with our rental car, which we drop off at the Hertz parking at the station, located on level -3 (very well signposted).

The Cornavin station concourse is a great success

Tracks 7 and 8 are therefore legally located in France!

There’s a lot of traffic this weekend at Cornavin

When we arrive on track 8, our train has not yet been docked: it will be docked 15 minutes before departure, and the train will arrive air-conditioned.

Platforms are long enough to accommodate multiple trains

Cabin and welcome

The cab is, of course, identical to that of the outward journey, and we’ll also be at the top of this Duplex train.

Another full car for this trip to Paris

Many greetings are given in 3 languages, French, Schweizerdeutsch and English. The train will leave Geneva Cornavin on time.

A power socket is available at each seat

Service and catering

Service is back on TGV Lyria trains. In addition to the bar (where it’s not possible to eat or drink, just buy at the counter), this train will be equipped with a mobile catering service.

Arrival and disembarkation

We arrive at Gare de Lyon 10 minutes ahead of schedule, and right in front of the exit. Uber ordered and arrived just as we arrived at the Drop off zone in Hall 3.

Bottom line

A very fluid journey, simpler than the load breaks induced by air travel…
