Review : Renaissance Paris République

As part of a professional event near the Place de la République in Paris, I made a reservation at the Renaissance Paris République, located near the eponymous square.

A look back at this very good stay.

Booking

To make this reservation, I used the Marriott Bonvoy app, and chose the hotel closest to my party location.

The hotel had also been warmly recommended by Bertrand who had organized some events on the rooftop.

It was booked for a little over 200€ a night in a standard room, with the corporate code of my business.

Arrival

A few days before my arrival, I noticed an upgrade to a Bobo room, a timid one-category upgrade. Strange, but I will find that the hotel will be quite full, and a higher upgrade will not be available.

I also specify my early arrival time (10am) in the application at the time of Mobile Check-in.

I arrived at the hotel at the indicated time, where I was taken care of immediately at the reception. I am told that my room is not yet ready. I decide to drop my luggage at the reception desk before heading to the office. My luggage will then be brought to my room.

Just before my professional event starts, I go back to the hotel to check-in. All the documents had already been prepared. I choose breakfast as an Elite benefit, and head to my room to settle in before my evening.

Room

My Bobo room was located on the 3rd floor of the property. The main elevator provides easy access (a second elevator, including access to the fitness room and spa, is available).

Renaissance Paris République - Corridor

The corridors are very elegantly decorated in wood and gray tones.

The entrance to the room is also very elegant, with wood and marble tones. A courtesy tray is available in the entrance.

The entrance leads directly to the room, which has a table for dining or working, and on which a welcome gift was placed for me.

The king size bed will be very comfortable, and the decoration is contemporary.

The bathroom is accessible from the bedroom, and has a beautiful basin as well as Tokyomilk products, characteristic of the Renaissance brand.

The toilet is separated from the bathroom by a sliding door.

The shower is very spacious, and the pressure is excellent.

In the morning, Le Figaro was waiting for me at my door.

To finish, a virtual tour in video:

Hotel facilities

The hotel has state of the art facilities. In the basement, there is a fitness room accessible 24 hours a day and equipped with the latest equipment.

The number of facilities is such that the attendance can be absorbed without any problem.

Towels, apples and water are available for the athletes.

The spa is also located in the basement, right next to the fitness room.

A Jacuzzi is available for hotel guests.

Food options

The property is quite small, but has a restaurant located at the back of the hotel, behind the reception. In front is a bar where I usually work before or after a meeting in the neighborhood. The space is very pleasant to isolate oneself or to receive customers and partners.

Room-service

Since I hate snacking and I don’t really like cocktail parties, I ordered room service when I got back from my party.

The nightly menu is fairly limited, but my Cesar salad was very good, only the pizza was a bit cartoonish.

The prices are not too high.

Breakfast service in the restaurant

The morning of the departure, I had a leisurely breakfast at the restaurant after my workout.

The tables are elegantly set.

As usual, I always choose a table that offers me a panoramic view of the restaurant.

The buffet is of very good quality, all items are appetizing. I will however make a light selection in anticipation of the trip that awaits me afterwards.

Departure

The departure formalities were very simple thanks to the mobile check-out.

Bottom line

An excellent experience in this Parisian property, where the 5 stars are not demerited. A nicer upgrade would have been nice, though.
