Six Senses currently manages 16 hotels and resorts, with 18 signed management contracts in its pipeline, and more than 50 other transactions under discussion. With properties in the Maldives, Seychelles, Yao Noi in Thailand, Zighy Bay in Oman and the Douro Valley in Portugal, the addition of the recognized and award-winning Six Senses brand is expected to strengthen IHG’s position in the luxury segment
Six Senses’ core promise is well-being and sustainability. This acquisition allows IHG to reach a community of affluent travelers with some of the most sought-after destinations.
Six Senses will be at the top of IHG’s luxury portfolio, complementing the world’s largest luxury hotel brand, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, the recently acquired and repositioned Regent Hotels & Resorts and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurant.
The acquisition of Six Senses brings IHG’s portfolio of open and developing luxury hotels to 400 hotels worldwide (108,000 rooms).
