Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai: simple but efficient

As part of abusiness trip to the emirates, I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai.

An account of a simple but efficient experience with an unbeatable value for money.

Booking

I made my reservation, as usual, on the SPG website. The hotel is one of thecheapest properties in Dubai for the night in question, and it is without much hesitation, given the reviews, that I decide to book.

A few days before my arrival, while looking at my reservation, I noticed that my standard room had been changed to a smoking room (not upgraded). I had to email my ambassador to get this changed and make sure I got a slightly better room than the standard room.

Arrival

I arrived by Uber at the hotel, shortly after midnight. The property is located in the Bur Dubai area, between the center and the airport. It is a very multicultural neighborhood, with a strong presence of Indian and Pakistani families.

Immediately, I was offered to be taken care of my luggage, and I politely declined as I usually do.

I then proceeded to the registration formalities, which went smoothly. As usual, I was greeted very decently, and the receptionist announced an upgrade to a non-smoking corner room.

Room

The room is indeed located in one of the corners of the hotel. Although it’s only a Superior room, it’s a decent size and has a lounge and sleeping area, as well as a nice sized bathroom. In some hotels, it would be a Junior Suite!

A welcome service was left for me, which is always appreciated even though the quality is not necessarily there.

To finish, a video tour:

Hotel facilities

Although it is a chain offering basic but comfortable services, this hotel offers, on the top floor, a gym of rather modest size, but also a pleasant outdoor pool.

Restaurants

I did not test the property’s restaurants for lunch or dinner.

The breakfast service is, on the other hand, quite qualitative with a diversified buffet:pastries, various breads, cold cuts, cheeses, hot dishes and eggs on demand.

Departure

Departure formalities carried out without a glitch, invoice without surprises.

Conclusion

A rather qualitative service for a modest price, less than 60 € all taxes included. A quality room, a correct service and good facilities, what more could you ask for?
