Still as part of repeated business trips to Algeria, I exceptionally stayed at the El Aurassi Hotel in March 2016 for a two-night stay. The property is located on the heights of Algiers, about 30 minutes from the airport by car (excluding traffic which is sometimes very dense in Algiers)

Booking

La réservation de l’hôtel a été effectuée directement par mon client, de même que le paiement des factures. So I had no choice about the hotel.

Arrival

The arrival formalities in the hotel are fast, the welcome cordial. No need for a credit card imprint for the extras, the problem will be managed a posteriori at the time of departure.

Rooms

It’s night and day compared to the Sofitel Alger.ikol; The rooms are very spacious, all renovated, the facilities (decoration, furniture) of high quality.

The beds are very comfortable, too bad they are Twin beds.

The bathroom is a little small, but the fact that the toilets are separate is very appreciable.

The Internet connection is a bit slow, but much better than at the Sofitel.
The view on the bay of Algiers is magnificent.

Restaurants

If the bar is a bit dull with a rather mediocre service, the restaurants are of excellent quality. I recommend the restaurant of Algerian specialties, excellent.

Departure

The departure formalities are fast, the invoice correct.

Conclusion

Day and night compared to the Sofitel. The staff seems much better trained and the facilities worthy of the 5 star rating on the front of the hotel.
