Review: LOT Polonez Business lounge, Warsaw

Early departure for Paris after a short professional stay in Warsaw, and discovery for me of the LOT lounge in Warsaw that I did not know.

Location

After passing through Fast Track security, the lounge is located on the left and on the mezzanine, and is accessible by escalator.

The fast track is deserted in the early hours of the morning

I am greeted in the lounge with politeness and a smile.

Once in front of it, you really can’t miss it

Lounge design

The lounge is frankly not very nice.

Rather cramped catering areas sit alongside relaxation areas that do not attract much more.

The whole thing looks like a Scandinavian canteen
A few armchairs left there somewhat by chance
A slightly better-kept relaxation/restaurant area

I sit down at a large table.

Tasteful decoration

The lounge has a separate Elite Club Lounge for inter-continental Business passengers and for LH HON Circle and Senator passengers. I don’t have access to it as a “simple” Star Gold travelling in Business.

Conditions of access to the more premium part of the lounge
No access to the Premium section for us this morning

Catering

The food offer is rather complete, hot and cold, but very local: breakfast in Eastern Europe consists of cold cuts, vegetables and buttered bread. Hot sausages are available as well as hot wraps, but no eggs.

A large part of the lounge’s catering offer
Some unappetizing fresh elements
Hot is not much better

The entire range of drinks is available at all times.

For those who want to start boozing at 5.30 am

I’ll settle for a double espresso before my flight starts to board.

Bottom line

If the wait lasts more than 30 minutes, then I think one is quickly bored by this rather insipid lounge, a bit shameful for the Flagship of the national airline.
