Dubai Airport launches internal cab service

Taking a cab to the airport everyone has done it. Taking a cab in the airport is more rare and it is now possible at Dubai Airport (DXB) with TaxiDXB.

TaxiDXB consists of a fleet of 15 buggies of 8 seats that any passenger can take either at a “station” or hail in the terminal to be taken, for example, to his boarding gate.

The service is free and accessible to all, but priority will be given to people who have difficulties in moving around, such as the elderly or families.

Such services already exist in almost all airports, but are reserved for people with reduced mobility or for customers in premium classes. This is the first time that such a service has been deployed on a large scale for everyone. After a test phase that obviously seduced the passengers, it was decided to generalize the service.

TaxiDXB is currently available on the departures and arrivals levels of Concourse B and will gradually be extended to the rest of the airport.

Drivers will have real-time flight data so they can adapt to any last-minute gate changes and get the passenger to the right place.
