Innsbruck Airport in Austria is known to be one of the most difficult airports in the world. Located in the valley in the middle of the mountains, it requires aircrafts to maintain a high safety altitude before diving onto the runway.
If the wind direction is not good, it also forces the aircraft to turn around between the mountains to get back on the runway, as shown in this video with the captain’s explanations.
