Singapore Changi Airport just received the Skytrax award for the world’s best airport in 2019.
This is the seventh consecutive time that the Singaporean airport has received this distinction from the airline industry’s leading ranking. So as much as the Skytrax ranking of the airlines is hard to take seriously at TravelGuys (the 5 stars of Lufthansa is a joke, isn’t it?), this one seems to us legitimate and even indisputable. Everything is very fluid and efficient, it is surprisingly quiet considering the number of passengers it handles and if a short walk in the terminal will make you aware of its gigantic size you will never feel it if you stay in your boarding area.
The fact that security checks are carried out at the gate can sometimes be seen as an inconvenience, but the counterpart is that the airport forms a single zone of shops, services and leisure activities accessible to all, regardless of their departure gate.

In the following we can discuss the respective places of each one but globally it corresponds to our experiences for those we had the chance to visit, that is to say all except Incheon (which will be done in May) and Central Japan.
