Valencia Marina Beach Club: Avoid the pool

As part of our romantic weekend in Valencia, we decided to spend the last day at the beach. So I suggest to my wife that we go to one of the Mediterranean city’s beach clubs.

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

Booking

We booked our mattresses on the morning of our visit. Please note that reservations are payable in advance and are non-refundable. A deposit of €60 per person is required, including €30 to reserve the mattress, and a €30 food credit.

When we arrive, a small queue has formed at the entrance, but we’re in within minutes. Our reservation is well taken care of and we are settled into a bed on the seafront.

The setting

The setting is obviously heavenly, on the shores of the Mediterranean. Beds are clean, but towels a bit small

The menu

The drinks menu is quite extensive, but the food menu is fairly basic.

The service

The service is pretty average, you have to wait and ask repeatedly for what you want.

The atmosphere

The advantage of being close to the beach is that you don’t hear the deafening music of the DJ mixing by the pool.

Bottom line

A decent experience, as it’s not directly on the sand… But for the rest, is it really worth €30 to €60 per person?
